Here are some important points to note with regards to Object Ownership in TempBuddy -

  • Objects like Candidates, Clients, Jobs and Assignments have the owner fields on their profile.

They can be Unassigned/Ownerless or have Recruiters assigned to them. To do this, you can either click on the Edit button next to the Owner and select the owner you want to assign from the drop-down, or you can Transfer the ownership from one Recruiter to another, as explained in this article.

  • Here's who can change the ownership to these objects -

  • Timesheet, Payslip and Invoice objects don't have the Edit option on Owner field. Here's how the ownership works for these objects -

i) Timesheet owner will be inherited from the Assignment Owner
ii) Payslip owner will be inherited from the Candidate Owner
iii) Invoice owner will be inherited from the Client Owner

When there's a change in the owner of the Assignment, Candidate and Client changes, so will the owner of the timesheet, payslip and invoice respectively.

  • Here's the basic accessibility (Create/Edit/Delete) rule within the Hierarchy -

  • Ownerless objects can be accessed by any recruiter

  • When you try to access an object that you don't own or don't have access to, you will get the window below -

  • Here are some possible scenarios with respect to the accessibility of objects due to ownership -

i) I am the owner of a Job but I don’t have access to the Assignments
ii) I am the owner of a Timesheet, but I don’t have access to the Client and the Candidate of that Assignment
iii) I am the owner of a Payslip, but I don’t have access to the Assignment and the Client
iv) I am the owner of an Invoice, but I don’t have access to the Candidate and the Assignment
v) I am the owner of a Candidate Pool, but I don’t have access to the Candidates in the pool

  • Dashboard Accessibility -

  • Roster View Accessibility: Recruiters can access the Roster View if -

i) If the Recruiter has access to the Job
ii) If the Recruiter has access to the Assignment
iii) If the Recruiter has access to the Candidate (doing an assignment)
